How we inspect a launch

LaunchXray covers product launches on JVZoo. Most of these launches sell a cheap front end and then show a series of one-time offers (OTOs) after checkout. Our job is to show you that whole funnel, and what each part is worth, before you pay anything.

Where the information comes from

Before a launch, vendors publish launch details for their partners: the front end, every OTO and downsell with prices, bundle deals, coupon codes and the launch schedule. We read those, the sales page and the vendor’s own site, and check the prices against the JVZoo checkout where we can.

When two sources disagree, for example an early announcement and the checkout, we show both and say which one we used. When something is not published, we write “Not disclosed by vendor yet” instead of guessing.

Tested and not tested

Every report says plainly whether we have used the product. A report built before launch day is based on the vendor’s materials, and its verdict reads “Not tested yet”. When we get access, we use the product, update the report and give a verdict: Worth buying, Wait, or Skip it.

How we rate each upsell

  • Required: you need it for the product to do what the sales page shows.
  • Optional: useful for some buyers, not needed by most.
  • Skip: a separate product, a reseller licence, or something most buyers will never use.
  • Unclear: the vendor has not said enough to judge.

Sales page claims

We quote claims word for word and say what is actually true, or what you should check. Income claims, “no monthly fees”, “one click” and review counts get the most attention, along with costs outside the funnel such as API keys, credits and hosting.

Vendor track record

Each vendor has a page listing every launch of theirs we have covered. Where we can, we note whether older products are still online and supported.

How we make money

Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you buy through them we may earn a commission from the vendor. That does not change any verdict, price or rating, and a launch that pays us well can still get a Skip. Read the full disclosure.

Corrections

Vendors change prices and funnels, sometimes during launch week. If you spot something out of date, tell us and we will fix it, with the date of the change shown on the report.
